Learn Cuban Son and Salsa! Have fun and meet new friends!

All levels welcome! You don’t need to have previous experience or come with a dance partner. In fact, many people come by themselves. We rotate dance partners several times during the lesson, so you’ll get to practice with other people. If you come with your own partner and you’d rather stay together during the whole lesson, that’s fine too. Please inform the teacher and we’ll be happy to accommodate you.

Every Saturday we have a 3 hour Intensive Cuban Salsa Workshop from 6pm to 9pm, also, several times a month (usually every other week) this Intensive Workshops, become Super Intensive. So we dance during 4 hours, starting with Cuban Son from 5pm to 6pm, followed by Cuban Salsa from 6pm to 9pm. We split the class into 3 different levels according to previous dancing experience. If you’re new to dancing, we recommend that you join our beginners group.

What is Son? Son Cubano is a captivating genre of music and dance that emerged in Cuba during the late 19th century. Is a beautiful fusion with Spanish and African influences and is considered the father of Salsa. The clave rhythm, often considered the heartbeat of Son Cubano, serves as its guiding force. One of the steps to become an advanced and beautiful dancer is learning how to dance Cuban Son as it will give you a a better understanding about music and timing and you will improve your body posture and overall style and music interpretation.

If you are looking for a Salsa Club in London, this might not be your event, as we don’t have social dance after the workshops. But we have regular parties and socials after lessons other days in most of our locations, please check the other events on this page. Also, most days we go together to the local pub after to have a drink after this workshops.
